majhaulia sugar industries, a subsidiary of jay shree tea & industries, is planning a 45 kld molasses-based distillery at village majhaulia, dist. west champaran, bihar on 10 acres of existing land. the estimated cost of the project is rs. 693 million. consultant has been appointed. the project is waiting for environmental clearance. according to moef sources, the distillery is based on zero effluent discharge. the unit will produce rectified spirit (rs)/ absolute alcohol (aa)/ extra neutral alcohol (ena). the total power required for the project is 1,040 kw. greenbelt will be developed in 33 of the total area. the project will be completed in 2 years after commencement.
