jmd alloys proposes an expansion of its re-rolling mill at village deokuli, dist. patna, bihar from 13,000 tpa to 180,500 tpa. the current status of the project could not be ascertained. according to moef sources, the capacity of the re-rolling mill furnace producing tmt bars/ rods will be augmented from 13,000 tpa to 180,500 tpa by installation of new 30 t rolling mill furnace. the existing plant also produces 22,500 tpa ms ingot/ billet (induction furnace). 6.44 acres is in possession and the expansion will come up on existing land. estimated cost of the expansion project is rs. 245.8 million. producer gas will be utilized for fulfilling the heating requirement of the rolling mill furnace, generated through coal gasifier based system. 5,000 kva of power required will be sourced from south bihar power distribution company (sbpdcl). project completion period is 6 months. shivshiva steel is implementing an expansion of its re-rolling mill producing tmt bars/ rods at village raipura, dist. patna, bihar from 30,000 tpa to 150,000 tpa. the estimated cost of the project is rs. 336.5 million. civil work is in progress. machinery erection is yet to start. the project is scheduled for completion in october 2017. according to moef sources, the project will entail installation of new 30 ton rolling mill furnace. the expansion will be undertaken on 2.5 acres within the existing 8.18-acre plant premises. 4,500 kva of power required will be sourced through sbpdcl. maajagdambe paper mills is planning a 20 tpd craft paper & 20 tpd writing paper manufacturing plant at village mahuli, dist. patna, bihar. the estimated cost of the project is rs. 98.62 million. civil contractor has been appointed. machinery will be procured locally; orders are yet to be placed. the project has been applied for environmental clearance. boundary wall work has commenced. work on the project is planned to commence after receipt of noc from ministries & is planned for completion in 6 months thereafter. according to moef sources, the mill will generate pulp through recycling of waste paper followed by deinking, refining, color striping, bleaching & papermaking for production of craft and writing paper. the company has leased out 4.12 acres of land for the project, out of which 1.36 acres will be developed as green belt. 2,500 kva of power will be required for the project, which will be sourced through sbpdcl. 800 kld etp based on activated sludge principle (asp) will be installed. canteen, laboratory etc., are proposed.
