national highways & infrastructure development corporation is planning construction of the aizawl to tuipang road in mizoram. the project will be implemented in 3 stages. i) stage-i: km 0-125: the length is 117 kms. the total project cost including la is rs. 18,986.7 million. ii) stage-ii: km 125-250. the length is 125 kms. the total project cost including la is rs. 22,135.0 million. iii) stage-iii: km 250-380: the length is 130 kms. the total project cost including la is rs. 19,918.4 million. for all the 3 stages, final dpr is received and is being discussed with jica. preliminary survey for la is under progress. two teams of consultants and revenue authorities have been formed for la. exchange note was signed between goi and goj on 31st march, 2016. jica loan agreement will be signed after cabinet approval i.e. pib. for conducting sia study, an amount of rs. 3.25 million has been released on 2nd september, 2016. pib approval is being sought to the ministry of finance. bids for additional topographical and geological survey from km 8.00 to km 380.00 (nh-54), were invited in august 2016. 5 nos. of bids have been received, which are under technical evaluation.
