piparwar phase-i ug is a new underground project located in piparwar block, district- chatra of jharkhand state . it is situated in the piparwar area north karanpura

central coalfields proposes the konar expansion ocp (nominal/ peak capacity 8.00/ 11.00 mtpa) & integrated konar non-coking coal washery (7 mtpa) in dist. hazaribagh, jharkhand on 729.40 hectares. the current status of the project could not be ascertained. according to moef sources, the project falls under b&k area of ccl. the broad initial capital investment is rs. 2514.8 million. out of 8.00 mtpa, 7.0 mtpa is non-coking coal and 1.0 mtpa is coking coal. the project is proposed by amalgamation as single mine the existing konar ocp (3.50 mtpa capacity & 301.37 hectares project area) and khasmahal ocp (0.60/1.50 mtpa normative/peak capacity & 219.56 hectares project area). the proposed konar expansion ocp has new leasehold area of 729.40 hectares after including the area in the dip side and eastern part of konar block. the life of the mine is 17 years. a new unit workshop and store are proposed. the 7 mtpa non-coking coal konar washery has been proposed on build operate &maintain (bom) concept to wash non-coking coal produced from konar ocp and despatch through konar railway siding to the powerhouses of ncr. coking coal form this mine will be sent to nearby kargali washery. the construction period including trial run, pgt and commissioning is 18 months. central coalfields is planning the 7 mtpa konar coal washery at bokaro & kargali area, dist. bokaro, jharkhand. the project will be set up in the east bokaro coalfield, konar expansion ocp. online rfq & rfp have been invited for the project on bom basis. the work consists of planning, design & engineering, selection of necessary equipment & machinery, procurement, delivery, erection/ installation along with all associated civil & structural works, testing, successful commissioning of coal washing plant including performance guarantee tests (pgt) with two years critical spares, works required for completion of entire project and all allied activities as well as its subsequent operation & maintenance to produce washed coal of requisite quality & quantity, storage into silo and loading into railway wagons through rapid loading system (rls) and disposal of washery rejects on bom concept. ccl will provide the capital funding for setting up the washery and other infra-structural facilities like land, water, power etc. documents can be downloaded till 5th january, 2016. bids can be submitted from 2nd december, 2015 till 5th january, 2016. operation & maintenance period is 10 years. the construction period is 18 months from the date of signing the contract.
