uma cement industries is planning an expansion of its cement manufacturing plant at iid center, battal ballian, dist. udhampur, jammu and kashmir from 295 tpd to 1,000 tpd. the project is waiting for environmental clearance. according to moef sources, total plot area is 12,633 sq. mtrs, out of which 34 will be developed as green belt area. the estimated cost of the project is rs. 1,000 million. power requirement of 4 mva will be sourced from jammu and kashmir grid unit. additionally, a 4 mva dg set will be installed. the project will be fully implemented in 2017 with concurrent sanction of funds and will be commissioned in december 2017.
