punjab state council of science & technology is planning to open a technology and innovation support center (tisc) at sector-26, in the ut of chandigarh. the department of industrial policy and promotion (dipp), ministry of commerce & industry, government of india, signed an institutional agreement with the punjab state council of science and technology in new delhi on 13th july, 2017 to establish indias first technology and innovation support center (tisc) at patent information centre, punjab, under the world intellectual property organizations (wipo) tisc program. services offered by tiscs include: 1. access to online patent and non-patent (scientific and technical) resources and ip-related publications; 2. assistance in searching and retrieving technology information; 3. training in database search; 4. on-demand searches (novelty, state-of-the-art and infringement); 5. monitoring technology and competitors; 6. basic information on industrial property laws, management and strategy, and technology commercialization and marketing. the cell for ipr promotion and management (cipam) is designated as the national focal point for the tisc national network. as the national focal point, cipam shall identify potential host institutions, assess their capacities and support them in joining the tisc program. cipam will also act as the main intermediary between wipo and tisc host institutions and coordinate all the activities of the national tisc network. punjab state council for science & technology is planning a 24 tpd paddy straw-based briquetting plant in dist. moga, punjab. expression of interest (eoi) invited for supply, installation & commissioning including maintenance for one year of paddy straw based briquetting plant (24tpd) in moga. plant type is mechanized line with briquette size of 55 5 mm diameter. paddy straw (>=80) & other biomass/bio-residue (<=20) are the input raw material. the scope of work of selected manufacturer would be supply, installation & commissioning of complete briquetting plant machinery including system for containment of dust emissions from various sources with air pollution control device for achieving the emission norm as prescribed by the state pollution control board. the selected manufacturing firm should also be responsible for maintenance of the machinery for one year after successful commissioning of the plant including supply of spares and training of local manpower.
