piccadily agro industries is planning a 2 mw co-generation power plant at village bhadson, dist. karnal, haryana. the project will come up along with a 60 kld distillery at a total estimated cost of rs. 470 million. the project will come up on existing land as unit-ii. the existing plant comprises of a 90 kld distillery & a 3 mw power plant. the project is waiting for environmental clearance. according to moef sources, the total plot area is 28.3 hectares, of which 9.3 hectares has already been developed as green belt. the distillery will produce ethanol. total power requirement of 1.2 mw will be sourced from the co-gen power plant and 1x500 kva dg set. bagasse/ rice husk/ biogas fired boilers of 25 tph capacity will be used.
