maajagdambe paper mills is planning a 20 tpd craft paper & 20 tpd writing paper manufacturing plant at village mahuli, dist. patna, bihar. the estimated cost of the project is rs. 98.62 million. civil contractor has been appointed. machinery will be procured locally; orders are yet to be placed. the project has been applied for environmental clearance. boundary wall work has commenced. work on the project is planned to commence after receipt of noc from ministries & is planned for completion in 6 months thereafter. according to moef sources, the mill will generate pulp through recycling of waste paper followed by deinking, refining, color striping, bleaching & papermaking for production of craft and writing paper. the company has leased out 4.12 acres of land for the project, out of which 1.36 acres will be developed as green belt. 2,500 kva of power will be required for the project, which will be sourced through sbpdcl. 800 kld etp based on activated sludge principle (asp) will be installed. canteen, laboratory etc., are proposed.
