maa peetambra sugar & power is planning a 6 mw bagasse-based co-gen power project at village khaikheda, dist. datia, madhya pradesh. the project will come up as part of its rs. 800 million sugar project spread over 80 acres of acquired land. out of the generated power, 1.5 mw will be for captive consumption and 4.5 mw will be sold to the government. ppa is yet to be signed. dpr preparation is under progress. work on the project is expected to commence in march 2014.
