adani ports and special economic zone is constructing its first berth at indias premier and ambitious international transhipment project at vizhinjam port, dist. thiruvananthapuram, kerala. this project will be keralas first ever deep water container transhipment port, with a deep draft of 20.5 meter and the first phase of the berth is being constructed will be 800 meter in length. civil work is in progress. the project will be completed within stipulated time period of 4 years. adani ports and special economic zone (apsez) is planning development of a ceramic cluster at mundra, dist. kutch, gujarat. infrastructure such as land, power, water and natural among others will be made available to ceramic industry. the cluster is being developed in the companys integrated port-based infrastructure zone. the company has signed mous on 16th december, 2016 with ceramic tile makers metro group, italica tiles, gravity ceramic for setting up their vitrified tiles manufacturing units in adani sez and two industry associations morbi ceramic association and sabarkantha ceramic association for facilitating their member in establishing their units. these mous entail an estimated investment of rs. 5,000 million and the proposed units will be focused on exports.
