government of india, ministry of road transport & highways, is planning upgradation of dornala t junction to penchalakona section in dist. sri potti sriramulu nellore, andhra pradesh. the project will involve upgradation of nh-565 from km 361/327 to km 420/800 (dornala t junction to penchalakona section) to two lane with paved shoulders in under nhdp-iv. dpr is under preparation. work on the project is expected to commence in march 2017 & is planned for completion in q1 2019. according to forest clearance sources, the ministry has applied for forest clearance for diversion of 33.459 hectares of forest land required for the project. the estimated cost of the project is rs. 4,598.4 million. the existing road between dornala t-junction to penchalakona section is a narrow bt road of length 1.520 kms.
