v s l steels is implementing an expansion of its pig iron manufacturing unit from 0.144 mtpa to 0.216 mtpa at village parmenahalli, dist. chitradurga, karnataka. the project entails addition of a new sinter plant of 33 sq. mtrs capacity. the estimated cost of the project is rs. 850 million. the project has been applied for environmental clearance. machinery has been imported from china, arrived on site. civil work is in progress. the project is scheduled for completion in q1 2018.
