tata power delhi distribution (tpddl) has commissioned a 66/11 kv ais grid substation at siraspur, dist. north west delhi, delhi on 14th february, 2017. the newly commissioned substation will benefit over 55,000 existing and new customers in siraspur, libash pur, ali pur, sgtn, ambay garder, 2920 ews dda flats for 5.75 mva load, ambay garden, bhagat singh park etc. and adjoining areas. the substation, built at a total cost of rs. 380 million, has an installed capacity of 50 mva, with 16 outgoing feeders at 11 kv level. it is an unmanned substation and will be remotely operated from tata power ddls state-of-the-art supervisory controlled and data acquisition center (scada). the substation has an incoming supply from two 66 kv underground cable circuits emanating two lines from 66 kv tpddl badli grid and two 66 kv cable lines proposed from upcoming 220 kv dtl grid at sgtn. this grid is built on small area of 4,300 sq. mtrs and is equipped with two power transformers of 25 mva capacity each and nitrogen injection fire prevention and extinction system (nifpes) power transformers along with auto-switched capacitor bank.
