punjab state transmission corporation is constructing a transmission line from muktsar to kotkapura in punjab. the project entails construction of 220 kv line from 400 kv muktsar to 220 kv kotkapura (sandhwan) for supply of 220 kv at kotkapura (sandhwan). work is in progress. the project is scheduled for completion in march 2017. according to forest clearance sources, the company has applied for forest clearance for diversion of 0.2555 hectares of forest land under muktsar forest division required for the project. the estimated cost of the project is rs. 255.6 million.
