punjab state transmission corporation is constructing a transmission line from malout to abohar in punjab. the project entails construction of 220 kv line from 220 kv s/s malout to 220 kv s/s abohar. work is in progress. the project is scheduled for completion in march 2017. according to forest clearance sources, the company has applied for forest clearance for diversion of 0.623 hectares of forest land passing through the muktsar forest division required for the project. the estimated cost of the project is rs. 30.61 million. the total length is 29.944 kms.
