oil india proposes exploratory drilling of additional 18 locations in the onshore nelp-vi block kg-onn 2004/1 in andhra pradesh. the current status of the project could not be ascertained. according to moef sources, the area of the block is 353 sq. kms of which 315 sq. kms is in dist. east godavari, andhra pradesh and 38 sq. kms is in dist. yaman, puducherry. once the commercial viability of 18 locations after exploratory drilling is established, the company will approach for obtaining fresh environmental clearance.
