oil and natural gas corporation is planning exploratory drilling of 6 wells at baramura & konaban, dist. west tripura, tripura. the project is waiting for environmental clearance. according to moef sources, the project will also entail laying of associated flowlines. the cost of drilling each well is approximately rs. 300 million. the total cost of this project would be rs. 1,800 million including drilling of 6 new development wells and associated flowlines in case hydrocarbon prospect is good. the area of the baramura extension iv well is 150.255 sq. kms and the konaban well is 33.0046 sq. kms. duration of drilling is approximately 3-4 months for each well.
