current status : as of january 2017, the project has been applied for environmental clearance. a 100 cu. mtrs/ day effluent treatment plant will also come up. contractual services will be rendered in-house. according to moef sources, agartala dome gcs, a gas installation of tripura asset currently supplies gas to otpc, palatana via ongc operated trunk line and to neepco via gails trunk lines. the gcs also supplies gas to the piped natural gas (png) network of agartala city and cng stations. to meet the gas requirement of existing power plants, the gas processing capacity is required to be enhanced. no additional land will be required for the project. the estimated cost of the etp installation is rs. 209.4 million and the estimated cost of the expansion project is rs. 50 million. the completion schedule is 15 months.
