ntpc vidyut vyapar nigam is implementing a 1,000 mw solar pv power project at panyam, dist. kurnool, andhra pradesh on 5,000 acres. out of 1,000 mw, 500 mw has been awarded to sunedison energy india & the remaining has been awarded to other contractors. the project is being set up under the national solar mission (nsm) phase-ii, batch-ii, tranche-i. the entire project is under development & is expected to be completed in january 2017.
