[info as of: mar. 16] ntpc is planning development and operation of the 7 mtpa chatti bariatu coal block in dist. hazaribagh, jharkhand. online bids on single stage two envelope bidding basis have been invited for the project on international competitive bidding basis. total area of the allotted coal block is 646.23 hectares. the mining plan and mine closure plan of chatti bariatu block is already approved by ministry of coal for a targeted capacity of 7 mtpa. environment clearance and forest clearance has been granted by moef. the total mineable reserve in the block is 151.80 million tones. the scope of work includes facilitation to acquire land, supply-cum-installation-cum civil works of cross country conveyor system, construction of r&r colony, providing all manpower including statutory manpower, excavation of various rocks/ earth cutting by mechanized means, mining of rom coal, loading, transportation, dumping, dozing, crushing the coal to a pre-determined size, leveling at ob dumping site to ensure progressive mine closure, construction, operation & maintenance of related infrastructure facilities like mine end coal handling plant, equipment workshop, power distribution arrangement from main receiving station (mrs), electrical substations, statutory buildings & pumping arrangements etc., haul road maintenance, delivery of crushed coal to ntpc at the pre-determined delivery point, etc. documents can be downloaded till 11th april, 2016. the last date for submission of bids is 4th may, 2016.
