northern railway is implementing doubling of raebareli-amethi railway line in uttar pradesh. the length of the line is 60.1 kms. the estimated cost of the project is rs. 2,857 million. rail vikas nigam is the implementing agency. kec international had been awarded an order in june 2016 for electrification, civil works, track laying, signaling, construction of road beds and bridges in connection with doubling of raebareli and amethi stations. civil work is in progress. the project is scheduled for completion in 2019.
