neyveli uttar pradesh power, a joint venture between neyveli lignite corporation & uttar pradesh rajya vidyut utpadan nigam (uprunl), is planning mining of the pachwara south coal block at pachwara, dist. pakur, jharkhand. government of india allocated pachwara south coal block with a reserve of 305 mt, for the proposed ghatampur coal-based thermal power project. ministry of coal has accorded an advance action proposal of rs. 194.5 million for pre-project activities of this coal block. terms of reference (tor) has been issued by moef for preparation of eia/ emp reports for the coal block. the board of directors of the company has accorded approval for floating an eoi to invite proposal from mine development operators (mdo) to carry out the entire activities connected with the development of mines.
