[info as of: feb. 16] national institute of ocean technology invites e-tenders for engagement of architectural consultant for preparing master plan and concept plans for seafront research facility (srf) and facility for administrative, computational and training (fact) sites in dist. sri potti sriramulu nellore, andhra pradesh. the scope of the work for srf shall entail (i) preparation of master plan in order to set up a srf comprising of laboratories, testing ponds, model testing wave basins, sea water intake system/ pipeline trestle, etc., for esso-niot in 83 acres of sea front land at village pamanji & vagarru, dist. sri potti sriramulu nellore, andhra pradesh, (ii) preparation of submission plan for buildings with required built-up area including preparation of concept/ submission plans of individual buildings and services required to be incorporated in the submission plan for the statutory approval from local planning, environmental clearance and other connected authorities, (iii) provide a complete comprehensive architectural design, drawings and details, for tender drawing and gfc & (iv) technical support during construction. the scope of the work for fact are (i) preparation of master plan for the fact including residential, guest house in 58.19 acres of land at village chittedu, dist. sri potti sriramulu nellore, andhra pradesh, (ii) preparation of submission plan for buildings with required built-up area including preparation of concept/ submission plans of individual buildings and services required to be incorporated in the submission plan for the statutory approval from local planning, environmental clearance and other connected authorities, (iii) provide a complete comprehensive architectural design, drawings and details, for tender drawing and gfc & (iv) technical support during construction. the total time period of completion for the consultancy shall be 24 months from the date of signing of agreement. documents can be downloaded till 25th february, 2016. the last date for submission of bids is 25th february, 2016. according to moef sources, srf is proposed to undertake three components which are the present requirement. the following sections describe in detail activities that are proposed to be undertaken between the years 2015 to 2019. component 1: development of basic amenities for establishment of esso-niot at srf and fact. component 2: establishment of offshore numerical tank facility. component 3: establishment of ballast water treatment technologies-test facility. a sea water reverse osmosis (swro) plant, that uses osmotic pressure to desalinate the sea water, is proposed for the sea front facility. the estimated cost for the development of srf and fact is rs. 7.72 billion.
