manipur state power company is constructing a 132 kv transmission line from thoubal to kongba, yaingangpokpi & hunding in manipur. the project will involve construction of 132 kv link transmission line for evacuation of power from 400/132 kv sub-station at thoubal to 132 kv sub-station at kongba, yaingangpokpi and hunding on existing 132 kv line from kongba to kakching on turnkey basis. work is in progress. the project is scheduled for completion in november 2016. according to forest clearance sources, the company has applied for forest clearance for diversion of 14.742 hectares of forest land required for the project for a period of 30 years. the estimated cost of the project is rs. 79.437 million.
