jammu & kashmir state cable car corporation is implementing the shivkhori passenger ropeway at shivkhori, village ransoo, dist. udhampur, jammu and kashmir. perfact envirosolutions is the environmental consultant. the project is waiting for environmental clearance. construction work has been commenced. the project is scheduled for completion in 2019. according to moef sources, the proposed system is to be installed at shimla will be mono-cable detachable gondola system. the project is a 1,739 meters long ropeway, covering an area of 19,302 sq. mtrs (including terminal stations, ropeway corridor and towers). the estimated cost of the project is rs. 713 million. the proposed ropeway shall be developed from lower terminal point at village ransoo (below ransoo kotla road) to upper terminal point at approximately 270 meters distance from the shivkhori cave entrance and it will be a continuous ropeway line from ltp to utp.
