hindustan petroleum corporation is planning installation of 3x500 mt lpg storage terminal at sidco complex, bari brahmana, dist. jammu, jammu and kashmir. the estimated cost of the project is rs. 1,000 million. the project is waiting for environmental clearance. according to moef sources, the project envisages installation of 3x500 mt lpg mounded storage facility inside the premises of the existing lpg bottling plant of hpcl spanning an area of 33 acres. around 10 acres land is proposed for greenbelt development. the project will entail installation of three nos. of horizontally placed cylindrical steel vessels and associated works namely, fabrication of pipelines for product transfer, re-sitement of pumping facility, construction of approach roads and provision of firefighting facility. the proposed facilities include: 1 no. 24 head fully automatic electronic carousels with high speed downstream equipment, lpg cylinder sheds, filling and testing equipment, 3x500 mt capacity mounded storage facilities, fire water storage tanks and allied firefighting facilities, gas monitoring system, personal protective equipment as per oisd 144, 4 nos. manual filling scales, shed and testing equipment for periodic cylinder testing facility and other facilities. the completion period of the project is 20 months from the date of commencement.
