heni drugs is implementing an expansion of its chemicals manufacturing unit at gidc sarigam, dist. valsad, gujarat in the existing plant premises. the estimated cost of the expansion is rs. 41 million. unistar environment and research labs is the consultant. the existing unit is engaged in continuous distillation of crude ethyl oleate and metallic salts. proposed new proposed are esters, organic intermediates, aromatic metal compounds & extracts and oils. civil work & machinery erection is in progress. the project is waiting for environmental clearance. the project is scheduled for completion in the end of 2016. according to moef sources, total plot area is 6,700 sq. mtrs & unit has proposed 2,000 sq. mtrs area for the green belt development. the existing products are 300 tpa of continuous distillation & 900 tpa of metal salt of copper, cobalt, nickel, bismuth, mercury and aluminum magnesium mix hydrotalcite salt. the proposed new products are 250 tpa of esters, 45 tpa of organics intermediates, 10 tpa of aromatic metal compounds (a) phenyl mercuric acetate, (b) phenyl mercuric nitrate, (c) phenyl mercuric oleate & (d) phenyl mercury dodecenyl succinate & 20 tpa of extracts and oils (cardamom oil, spearmint oil, eucalyptus oil, mentha oil, citronella oil, geranium oil, pink pepper oil, vetiveryl oil, rose crystals). effluent will be treated in existing etp.
