h. p. power transmission corporation is planning the 33 kv d/c bhang-prini transmission line in dist. kullu, himachal pradesh. the estimated cost of the project is rs. 35 million. the project is waiting for forest clearance. work on the project is expected to commence in h1 2016 & planned for completion in 2016. according to forest clearance sources, this will be a high capacity, double ckt transmission line with htls conductor, which will interconnect hpptcl 33 kv switching station bahang (palchan) with hpptcl 33/220kv sub station prini, in the yard of allian dhuangan hep, to evacuate the power generated in solang, palchan, bahan. power generated by different independent and state owned power producers will be polled at 33 kv switching station bhang (palchan) at 33 kv voltage level and will be transmitted through this transmission line to hpptcl substation at prini, which will be further transmitted to pgcil substation at nalagarh through existing 220 kv d/c transmission line from prini to nalgarh. total land area required for the transmission line will be 12.7459 hectares.
