choudhary iron & steel industries is planning an iron, manganese ore and coal beneficiation plant at village raichhapal, dist. sundergarh, odisha. the project is awaiting environmental clearance. according to moef sources, the project is for establishment of 0.75 mtpa (2x100 tph) iron ore beneficiation plant (wet process), 0.10 mtpa (1x50 tph) manganese ore beneficiation plant (wet process) and 0.65 mtpa (1x200 tph) coal beneficiation plant (dry process). the estimated cost of the project is rs. 11 million to be funded by financial institutions with promoters contribution. the total land requirement is 9.81 acres which is already under possession. 33 of the total area will be covered under plantation. environmental research & services (india) is the consultant. the total power requirement will be 1.1 mva to be provided by the orissa state electricity board (oseb) subsidiary, wesco. the project is planned for completion in 18 months from zero date.
