airports authority of india is implementing an expansion of its airport at hubballi, dist. dharwad, karnataka. the ministry of civil aviation has received proposals regarding expansion and facelift of the airport. aai has received 588 acres land from the state government against the projected requirement of 600 acres. aai has recently constructed a new dvor building and ndb building. aai has also commenced the work on extension, strengthening & widening of runway, taxiways & isolation bay and construction of new terminal building, atc tower cum technical block cum fire station, sub-station, new apron and other ancillary buildings and services including perimeter road at the airport.
